Nada Exhibition
This was my least favorite out of everything I visited this weekend. I think I was more impressed with the architecture of the hotel. I did not realize that pop art ( so to speak ) is still very popular. I felt like I barley made a connection with any work besides the animal sculptures with bird poop on them.
Aqua Exhibition
Beautiful hotel the art was displayed in. Many new ideas and even old mediums being used in unique and interesting ways. I saw mainly drawings and prints that were more interesting than the sculpture.
Zimoun Exhibition
It was an extreme and exciting pleasure not only working with him but meeting him too. It was interesting that I along with many other students got to assemble his sculptures like toys. The opening was awesome and very well put together. I love his minimalism pieces but that they were set up in huge numbers of repetition.
Matt, Cody, Walter - One Night Only Exhibition
I enjoyed their show, I thought that all of their pieces coordinated quite nicely together which can be a difficult thing to do. My favorite element of the boys work was that most of them were not framed which contributed to the type of raw style they are currently painting in.
